Water Based Ink
955 Defoamer is a high performance aqueous defoamer for most water-based inks, coatings and other liquids. It is effective both as a foam prevention aid and as a foam knock-down additive.

FOAM PREVENTION
955 Defoamer should be incorporated into formulas as a "last-in" ingredient to prevent foam from forming. Very small amount should be used, addition levels of .25% to 1.5% are typical with exact quantity determined by experimentation. The 955 Defoamer should be thoroughly blended-in with a low-shear mixing apparatus. 955 Defoamer will remain effective for the life of the liquid product.

FOAM KNOCK-DOWN
955 Defoamer is very effective as a knock-down defoamer. It should be added, in minute quantities, at the point of foam generation, i.e. etched cylinder, pump return line, application pan, etc. As it is added, the 955 Defoamer will immediately begin dissipating the foam and continue working to keep foam from re-generating. Addition levels should be determined by need and experimentation. A suitable container should be used with a dropper or nozzle which will allow for controlled, light application
