Water-Based Liquids
Staticon 452 is an additive for all water-based liquids where anti-static properties are desired. It's unique polymeric structure creates an electrolytic latice formation which has conductive properties in the liquid state. This allows for rapid static dissipation on machine and a certain level of conductivity in the residual dried surface of the coated substrate.

Staticon 452 is used as supplied as a direct stir-in additive to water-based adhesives, coatings, inks, resins, paints and other liquids. Addition rates of 1% to 10% are suggested with exact amount based on the level of static dissipation desired. Staticon 452 also has a tendency to thicken some liquids which may be a desirable attribute in certain uses.

Staticon 452 has a basic pH of approximately 9 which is suitable for most liquids in the neutral to high basic range. For liquids in the acidic range, test additions should be made on a pilot batch to determine the compatibility of Staticon 452 to the acidic liquid. In all cases, Staticon 452 should be added slowly while mixing to avoid shocking the liquid and "kick-out".

Staticon 452, as with all ADM Tronics products, is water-based and formulated from ingredients found on FDA lists cleared for food packaging.
