NOPCO DF-122 NS is a powerful non-silicone anti foam and defoamer for all pigrnented coatings. This product is especially effective in coatings with substantial amounts of latex binders. it also performs well in coatings bound with starches, caseins and proteins.

NOPCO DF-122 NS is a 100% active product which can be made down to a stock emulsion and retains its stability even in hard water, although Nopco recommends that the product be used as received.

APPLICATION

For maximum results, NOPCO DF-122 NS should be added early in the coating preparation. High shear equipment ensures proper dispersion and prevents spot and 'fish-eye' problems. Although specifically recommended by Nopco, if a stock emulsion is used, 5 - 10% NOPCO DF-122 NS in water is suggested with constant, mild agitation to maintain uniformity. Normal application rates for NOPCO DF-122 NS are 0.1 to 0.3% of dry coating pigment.
