267-A is a powerful foarn control agent with excellent carry-through
properties. Effective, versatile and silicone-free, this product
functions as an antifoamer and defoamer in all types of aqueous
coatings. NOPCO 267-A is readily dispersible, devoid of spotting
characteristics and is effective on all types of paper and paperboard
coaters. |

APPLICATION
PIGMENTED COATINGS
As an antifoamer, 0.1 - 0.25% NOPCO 267-A on pigment solids is added
to the clay slurry prior to binder addition. As a defoarner to eliminate
foam generated in circulation at the coater, NOPCO 267-A can be
added neat by metering it into the recirculation line or from a
5 - 10% aqueous emulsion. The degree of agitation in the circulation
system will determine whether to add NOPCO 267-A neat or
in emulsion form. |

NOPCO 267-A is added to the starch make-up at the rate of
0. 1 % on starch solids. |
PACKAGING
AND HANDLING
NOPCO
267-A is shipped in 200 litre unlined tighthead steel drums or 1000
litre containers. Freezing has no adverse effect on the working
properties of this product. If frozen, allow it to warm to room
temperature, then mix well before using. Storage above 100 C is
recommended.
In hot climates, the product should be stored in the shade and,
preferably, inside a building. |
